In this role, you will analyze business domains, document processes and systems, and assess business models to ensure seamless integration with technology. By using your analytical skills and technical expertise, you will help optimize operations and support the organization’s evolving needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze business needs and elicit requirements by interacting with business stakeholders and experts. Work closely with IT teams (system architects and developers) to define, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements for technology solutions.
• Identify opportunities and challenges related to processes, systems, and product development. Evaluate and propose optimal solutions, assess feasibility, and contribute to internal process reengineering. Continuously seek ways to improve monitoring, discover issues, and enhance value for customers.
• Develop or contribute to business cases and business plan initiatives based on quantitative and qualitative data to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with external vendors and internal IT teams to ensure seamless implementation of new systems and solutions. Oversee vendor tasks and facilitate effective communication between external partners and internal stakeholders.
• Configure and maintain insurance products and related system printouts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company guidelines.
• Lead and facilitate user acceptance testing, gather feedback, and ensure any technical developments (products, systems, applications, etc.) meet business requirements. Document system changes, create user manuals, and train end users on new implementations.
• Report project progress and remaining effort to stakeholders while identifying and mitigating potential risks during the implementation phase.
• Share knowledge and expertise with internal teams by providing training and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: A BSc degree in Business Studies, Business Administration Management, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
• Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in business analysis or a similar role, preferably in the insurance sector.
• Technical Skills:A solid understanding of technology, systems integration, and processes.
• Business Analysis Skills: Experience in building business cases, eliciting requirements, and conducting testing.
• Industry Expertise: Familiarity with insurance products and regulations, with relevant certification considered a plus.

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in back-end development with strong Java OOP skills.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Urban Code.
• Experience with build tools such as Maven and Gradle.
• Strong understanding of relational databases (IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL Server) and messaging systems (ActiveMQ, Kafka).
• Experience with API design (SOAP, REST) and working with API Gateways (e.g., IBM API Connect).
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Junit & Spock.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Apache Wicket and/or JSF frameworks will be considered a plus.
• Familiarity with JavaScript, Groovy, and Python is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Quarkus and WebSphere Liberty will be considered a plus.

SYNTAX IT Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced GRC Security Consultant to strengthen our professional services team. In this position, you will be integral in advancing our clients’ Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) frameworks, supporting high-level security initiatives, and ensuring alignment with industry standards and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

● Collaborating with stakeholders to assess and enhance the organization’s security posture and GRC activities.

● Performing Government focused activities such as:

• Acting as vCISO.
• Establishing an ISMS framework or components of it, according to industry standards such as ISO27001.
• Create or review information security documentation (such as Policies, Standards, Procedures etc.) to ensure coverage and effectiveness.
• Perform Security Awareness Training.
• Gather information around existing security controls and assist in identifying KPIs.

● Performing Risk Management focused activities, such as:

• Reviewing or Implementing a Security Assessment Framework.
• Conducting Assessment against a specific scope or across the whole organization.
• Reviewing or Implementing a Third-Party Security Assessment Framework.
• Conduct Third Party Risk Assessments remotely or on-site.

● Performing Compliance focused activities, such as:

• Gap Analysis against: Industry Standards such as ISO27001, ISO22301, PCI DSS etc.; Legislations such as NIS2, DORA, GDPR; Provide a Roadmap towards compliance or certification.

● Liaising with various teams to collect, analyze, and present information effectively.

Skills & Qualifications:

• B.Sc. degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• M.Sc. degree will be considered a plus.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in security engineering and/or GRC roles, with hands-on experience across relevant domains.
• Strong knowledge of security standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR compliance).
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISM, CISSP) are highly regarded.

In this role, you will lead efforts to fortify client cybersecurity infrastructures, assess and implement effective security solutions, and support a high standard of data protection across diverse environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with stakeholders to assess and enhance the organization’s security posture.
• Reviewing and assessing existing controls to identify gaps or opportunities for improvement.
• Consulting on new technologies within the portfolio.
• Implementing Security Solutions: Leading the deployment and configuration of cybersecurity systems and tools, ensuring they are tailored to meet client needs.
• Training & Supporting customers or Managing Security Solutions on behalf of the customer the security solutions provided.
• Providing expert troubleshooting for cybersecurity solutions, diagnosing and resolving issues that arise during or after implementation.

Skills & Qualifications:

• B.Sc. degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
